anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policy
The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation is a global leader in entrepreneurship and education, and a key component of their work is bringing people together to address the biggest problems facing these sectors and collaborate on solutions. My initial project during my fellowship was to establish their first set of guidelines and action steps to report claims of sexual harassment and promote mutual growth and safety during Kauffman-operated events. I collaborated with the legal, human resources and web development teams to create the policy below. It presents a list of foundational norms and values, examples of punishable conduct and multiple reporting options. The policy also includes a quick form that has a list of individuals who represent multiple gender and racial identities to make the process of reporting discrimination more approachable and comfortable.
